A video has surfaced showing Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, leaving St Mary’s Hospital in London, United Kingdom, raising concerns over his alleged secret medical treatment. The footage, which emerged on Friday and was seen by SaharaReporters, depicts Tinubu exiting the hospital, accompanied by aides and medical personnel, before entering his car.

The revelation has sparked outrage among Nigerians, with many accusing the President of deliberately concealing his visit to the hospital from the public. His decision to keep the trip under wraps has fueled discussions about transparency and accountability.

Outspoken government critic and activist, Mahdi Shehu, slammed Tinubu’s actions, stating: “TINUBU LIED: His picture with King Charles was shared to deceive people. He was at St Mary’s emergency treatment center in London for emergency medical care. No matter the hide and seek, what is destined will happen willy-nilly.”

The video follows closely on the heels of Tinubu’s reported visit to King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. The Royal Family announced the meeting in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), along with a picture showing Tinubu and the British monarch shaking hands. However, no details of the conversation were disclosed.

“Yesterday, The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria visited His Majesty at Buckingham Palace,” read the post, sparking widespread speculation about the purpose of Tinubu’s trip to the UK.

This latest development comes at a time when Tinubu’s policies back home are under increasing scrutiny. Many Nigerians have voiced frustration over what they describe as repressive and anti-people policies implemented by his administration. Furthermore, there are growing concerns over the President’s frequent overseas travels, which critics argue are draining the nation’s resources while the populace grapples with economic hardship.

As debates rage over Tinubu’s leadership, this incident has intensified questions about the state of his health and the future direction of his presidency.
