Nigerian Man Adimabua Chukwuka Arrested for Murdering Homeless Man in Toronto

Toronto police have arrested 31-year-old Adimabua Chukwuka for first-degree murder following the brutal killing of a homeless man near the University of Toronto campus.http://University of Toronto campus.

Surveillance footage allegedly captured Chukwuka attacking Ferreira with debris—possibly from a dumpster or construction site—while he lay on a bench around 5:20 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators have linked Chukwuka to a decade-long history of violent offenses. In 2014, he faced 10 charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and failure to comply with probation in connection with multiple stabbings. In April 2022, he was arrested again for allegedly brandishing a knife, robbing one man, and stabbing another twice in the chest. Those charges included assault with a weapon, robbery with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The outcome of his previous cases remains unclear as authorities continue investigating Ferreira’s death. If convicted, Chukwuka could face life in prison
