Nigerian Comedian DeeOne Sets New Mark with 52-Hour Stand-Up Marathon

Nigerian comedian and reality TV star DeeOne has successfully completed his Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt for the longest individual stand-up comedy performance, lasting an impressive 52 hours and 42 minutes.

The marathon performance, which began at 12:00 a.m. on October 2 and concluded on Saturday, October 4, 2025, took place at Pallazzo, Ikeja, in Lagos State.

Speaking after the feat, DeeOne said the challenge was aimed at inspiring Nigerian youths and showing that “no dream is too big to chase.”

The event attracted a host of Nigerian entertainers, including Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, among others.

DeeOne’s record-breaking performance has been submitted to Guinness World Records for official verification.

Prior to his attempt, the record was held by American comedian Benny Elbows, who performed for 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds on April 25, 2025.
