On September 25, troops at Forward Operating Base Azir in Damboa repelled a large-scale attack, killing one insurgent and seizing three AK-47 rifles along with improvised explosive device (IED) materials.
As part of intensified efforts to block terrorist supply chains, the army intercepted large quantities of urea fertiliser used for making explosives at Mubi Central Market, Adamawa State, on September 27. The same day, soldiers seized 20 jerrycans of smuggled petrol along the Fillin Ball–Gella Road in Mubi South, after the smugglers fled.
