According to Bishop Bulus Yohanna, CAN Chairman in Niger State, the final breakdown includes 303 schoolchildren and 12 teachers.

50 Pupils Escape
CAN announced on Sunday that 50 pupils escaped between Friday and Saturday and have now reunited with their families. The update came after CAN representatives visited affected parents to verify the information.

Nationwide Violent Attacks Intensify
The mass abduction occurred amid a week of heightened violence across multiple states:
- Kebbi State: 25 female students of Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School were abducted, the principal was shot, and the vice principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, was killed while defending the students.
- Kaduna: Catholic priest Bobbo Paschal of St. Stephen Parish was kidnapped.
- Kwara–Kogi Border: Terrorists killed five people and kidnapped several more during back-to-back attacks, including an assault on a church that left two dead and a pastor abducted.
- Zamfara: Three people were murdered and at least 64 kidnapped in Fegin Baza village.
- Borno: ISWAP fighters recently killed Brigadier General Musa Uba in another attack.

Government Responds, Says Security Progress Is Being Made
Minister of Information Mohammed Idris, speaking on Channels Television, urged Nigerians to understand the complexities behind terrorism financing investigations. He warned that the government cannot prosecute suspects without solid evidence.
