Niger Gov. Bago Inaugurates 30 Commissioners, 25 Council Chairmen, Deputies and Board Members

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has officially inaugurated 30 commissioners, 25 elected local government chairmen, their deputies, and several board members as part of efforts to advance the administration’s “New Niger agenda.”
The oath of office and allegiance was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, represented by Justice Maimuna Abubakar, during a ceremony held at the Hauwa Wali Multi-Purpose Hall in Minna.
In his speech, Governor Bago stated that the newly appointed officials were selected based on their competence and track records. He urged them to focus on delivering a sustainable, prosperous, and egalitarian Niger State while drawing lessons from past experiences.
Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, encouraged the appointees to demonstrate dedication in their respective roles, noting that their commitment is crucial to achieving the New Niger agenda.
Board members sworn in include those of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, the Secondary Education Board, and the Law Reform Commission.
Several of the officials expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, pledging their full commitment to supporting Governor Bago’s vision for the state’s development and progress.
