American rap icon Nicki Minaj has voiced strong concern over the growing persecution of Christians around the world, warning that it would be “dangerous” for humanity to ignore the escalating wave of religious violence.
The rapper made the statement while reacting to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to classify Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) due to violations of religious freedom.
In a post shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, Minaj applauded Trump’s administration for acknowledging the issue and urged global awareness and compassion for persecuted believers.
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God,” she wrote.
“No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs to respect one another.”
The multiple Grammy-nominated artist further emphasized that several nations are grappling with religiously motivated violence, saying it is “dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.”
“Thank you to the President and his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer,” she added.
Minaj’s remarks have since sparked widespread conversation online, with many commending her for speaking out on global religious intolerance.
