Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has stated that he never pursued actress Regina Daniels for marriage, clarifying the controversy surrounding their estranged union.
Reacting to public criticism of his six-year marriage to Regina, Ned explained that it was her mother, Rita Daniels, who brought Regina to him for marriage, and he has witnesses to support this claim.
Addressing allegations that he married Regina when she was 17, the senator clarified:
“Regina Daniels was born on October 10, 2000. If she has been married to me for six years, she was 19 at the time of marriage, not 17. The public witnessed her family giving her away, and there were witnesses that her mother personally brought her to me. I never went after her.”
The clarification comes amid previous claims by Regina accusing Ned of domestic abuse, and his counter-allegations regarding her substance abuse, which sparked widespread debate and calls for his resignation from some quarters
