Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has expressed satisfaction following Besiktas’ 2-0 away win against Konyaspor in their Turkish Super Lig clash, on Sunday.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring in the 21st minute, heading in from a well-delivered corner kick — his first-ever goal for the Turkish giants since joining the club.
Later in the game, Tammy Abraham capitalised on a defensive blunder to double the lead for the visitors, securing all three points for Besiktas.
Speaking after the match, Ndidi praised his teammates and credited the victory to tactical discipline and hard work.
“The match went just as we planned. We knew it would be a difficult one, but our focus was on getting the win — and we did,” Ndidi told the club’s official website.
He added that their training sessions paid off, especially on set-piece routines:
“We practised dead-ball situations a lot in training, and it worked perfectly. Everything we prepared for came together during the game, and that gave us momentum.”
The result strengthens Besiktas’ push in the league as Ndidi continues to impress in his debut season in Turkey
