My N800,000 Is Still With Them’ — Another Famzhi Interbiz Investor Speaks

June 10,2022

Lucky Patrick, an Abuja-based civil servant, has narrated how Famzhi Interbiz Investment, owned by one Mariam Sulieman, refused to pay him his N800,000.

This came after FIJ’s story detailing how Suleiman vanished with 15,000 investors’ billions

Patrick told FIJ that he invested the money in 2019, with a promise of five percent monthly return on investment that was only honoured for two months

“I invested the money with one woman named Mariam Sulieman, who claimed to have a security company, a water company, a production company, and a farm and real estate company. She said she was into several things, promising all sorts of things,” he said.

Patrick said she was introduced to the company by a friend who claimed to have an investment with them.

“My first investment was N500,000. As though to lure me in, she gave me N50,000 return on investment in December and January. That was the only ROI I ever received from her,” he said.

Patrick told FIJ that on receiving the two returns on investment, he was convinced that it was a legitimate investment company. Patrick said he invested another N300,000 with the hope that the return would increase in February.

“My first investment of N500,000 was in November 2019 and the second investment was in February 2020. This is my hard-earned savings and now I am left with nothing,” he said.

Patrick said when the returns stopped coming, he contacted Famzhi Interbiz Investment.

“When I didn’t receive the investment as promised. I reached out to her and she promised to refund my money. Now, for almost two years I have not received my N800,000,” he said.

“We are actually over a thousand investors, but some people have been able to collect their capital using their connection in government or high places. Some went through EFCC and some went through the armed forces. Meanwhile, I don’t have anybody in high places to ask for help.”

Patrick told FIJ that for more than a year, he had been writing to Famzhi Interbiz Investment, seeking a refund, but he had not received his money.

“I am not talking about my interest, which would have been higher than my real capital. I am only particular about recovering what I invested, which is N800,000,” he said.

When FIJ contacted the phone number on the Famzhi Interbiz Investment receipt given to Patrick, the network provider said the number did not exist.

An email sent to Famzhi Interbiz Investment had also not been responded to at press time.
