Music Alone Couldn’t Fund My Wedding to Otedola’s Daughter” – Mr Eazi Opens Up

Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, has revealed that his music earnings alone could not have covered the cost of his wedding to actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.

The “Leg Over” hitmaker made the disclosure while responding to an X user who claimed he was trying to recoup his wedding expenses by promoting his new single, Cassanova.

Reacting to the comment, Mr Eazi wrote:

“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

Another user, however, argued that his music earnings from 2018 could have sponsored the lavish event. Addressing that, Mr Eazi explained that despite having a string of hits during 2017–2018, it was actually his most financially challenging period in the last decade.

“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha, I’m really thankful,” he wrote.

The couple, who got engaged in London in April 2022, recently tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Iceland.

Mr Eazi has previously shared that he first met Temi through her elder sister, DJ Cuppy, who was already his close friend.
