Liverpool star Mohamed Salah could be on the verge of a shock transfer to Real Madrid next year, following growing uncertainty over his future at Anfield.

The 33-year-old attacker raised eyebrows in a recent interview after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds, where he revealed tensions with manager Arne Slot and claimed he was being “thrown under the bus.” Salah was notably left on the bench for the full 90 minutes in that match.

His strained relationship with Slot has reportedly worsened, with Salah also omitted from the squad for Liverpool’s upcoming Champions League clash against Inter Milan, fuelling speculation of an early exit in the January transfer window.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Real Madrid could exploit Liverpool’s internal issues by launching a bid for Salah. The LaLiga giants are said to have “entered the race” for what could become one of the most high-profile winter moves, even proposing a potential explosive swap deal.
