Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has called on his former club to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, arguing that his arrival could reignite their Premier League title ambitions.

Mikel voiced his concerns over Chelsea’s over-reliance on Nicolas Jackson as their main striker, highlighting the team’s struggles in front of goal as a key factor hindering their competitiveness against title contenders like Liverpool.

Chelsea’s Struggles

Chelsea’s poor run of form during the festive period has seen them fail to win any of their last four matches. They now sit 10 points behind league leaders Liverpool, who still have a game in hand. Despite Jackson scoring nine league goals this season, he has netted just once in his last six appearances, sparking criticism of his inconsistency.
