Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Brentford to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo, as the Red Devils continue their summer squad rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

According to Football Transfers, United are close to securing their fourth major signing of the transfer window, with a deal now in place for Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

Brentford, aware of Mbeumo’s imminent departure, are already exploring replacements—reportedly targeting Omari Hutchinson of Ipswich Town.

Mbeumo’s Impact and Career So Far

Mbeumo enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign under outgoing Brentford boss Thomas Frank, contributing 20 league goals across all 38 top-flight appearances. Since joining from French club Troyes in 2019, the 25-year-old has made 242 appearances for the Bees, netting 70 goals in total.

His impressive form attracted attention from top Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, both of whom will feature in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

Why Mbeumo Chose Manchester United

Despite strong interest from Champions League-qualified sides, Mbeumo is believed to have prioritized a move to Old Trafford, signaling his desire to be part of Manchester United’s long-term project under head coach Ruben Amorim.

The final transfer fee has not yet been confirmed, though Brentford are reportedly holding firm on a £70 million valuation. It remains to be seen how much United will ultimately pay to secure the dynamic forward’s signature.
