Man Charged as Police Probe Fatal Stabbing of 21-Year-Old at Primrose

A 27-year-old man has been formally charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old victim at Primrose Hill in north London.
The victim, Finbar Sullivan, lost his life after the violent incident, which occurred on Tuesday, April 7, prompting a full-scale investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
The suspect, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, from Enfield, was initially arrested on Friday and has now been charged with murder. He is scheduled to appear before Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 13.
Authorities also confirmed that another man, aged 25, who had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has since been released without further action.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of the stabbing, but despite efforts by paramedics to save him, Sullivan was pronounced dead. His family is currently receiving support from specially trained officers.
Leading the investigation, Detective Inspector Andy Griffin expressed condolences to the victim’s family, describing the situation as deeply tragic. He also confirmed that officers are continuing intensive efforts to identify and apprehend anyone else connected to the incident.
Police have increased patrols in and around Primrose Hill to reassure residents, while urging members of the public to come forward with any useful information, including video footage that could aid the investigation.
The case remains ongoing, with authorities appealing to witnesses to assist through official reporting channels or anonymous tip lines.
