Liverpool have been handed a major transfer boost after reports claimed that Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton prefers a move to Anfield despite strong interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The news comes as Jurgen Klopp’s successor, Arne Slot, looks to strengthen Liverpool’s midfield following a summer window that focused primarily on defence and attack.
