Kogi Govt Declares Holiday For Schools Ahead Governorship Election

The Kogi State government has directed all elementary, secondary, and university institutions to take a mandatory holiday from Friday, November 10, to Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Jones made it clear that the purpose of this vacation was to honour the governorship race on November 11.
He stated that on Wednesday, November 15, regular academic sessions will resume in schools
The commissioner further wished all a peaceful election and assured the public of the government’s commitment to providing a secure and conducive environment for the conduct of a free, fair and credible election
