Kcee Reveals Secret to Staying Consistent in Music: “I Don’t Get Discouraged by Struggling Hits”

Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has shared the formula behind his enduring success in the music industry.
The Limpopo crooner revealed that, unlike some peers who retreat when a song underperforms, he doubles down by releasing more music, believing that persistence increases the chances of creating a hit.
Speaking on the Selah Meditate podcast, Kcee explained:
“Some colleagues drop a song and if it doesn’t hit, they retreat and get discouraged. That’s not me. I can release 22 songs, and maybe the 25th becomes a hit. I don’t mind — consistency is everything.”
The singer also opened up about the challenges he has faced in his career, noting that the public rarely sees the struggles because he always presents himself flamboyantly in public.
Kcee emphasized the role of positive manifestation in his life, recounting how he and E-Money, while living in Ajegunle, would declare they were living in Ikeja.
“We weren’t lying; we were dreaming, manifesting our future. And that’s exactly where we ended up dominating.”
