Katsina: One Dead, Another Injured as Bandits Flee After Troops Foil Village Attack

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Thursday when armed bandits stormed Awari Yashe and Sararawa villages in Kusada Local Government Area.
Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, supported by the police and Community Watch groups, swiftly engaged the attackers in a fierce gun duel. During the clash, a 40-year-old resident, Sama’ila Dahiru, sustained gunshot wounds, while the bandits managed to rustle several livestock.
While retreating through the Gidan Mutun Daya–Kofa highway, the fleeing criminals caused a road accident that claimed the life of an unidentified victim.
All casualties were taken to the General Hospital in Kankia, where doctors confirmed one dead. Security patrols in the area have since been strengthened to track the assailants and recover the stolen animals.
