Popular Kannywood actress, Mansura Isa, has opened up about the heartbreaking collapse of her second marriage, revealing how a N4 billion contract deal became the root of the betrayal.

Speaking on BBC Hausa’s Mahangar Zamani, Mansura, joined by fellow veteran actress Fati Mohammad, said she married out of love, unaware that her husband had ulterior motives.

“I married for love. You know what they say, love is blind. But it turns out he had a different agenda,” she stated.

Fati Mohammad defended Kannywood actresses against stereotypes of failed marriages, emphasizing that relationship issues affect all women—not just celebrities. According to her, many men pursue actresses out of lust, not love, and leave once their desires are met.

“People say actresses can’t stay in marriage because they love luxury, but it’s deeper than that,” Fati noted.

Mansura’s second marriage sparked public interest in June 2024 following her high-profile split from actor Sani Danja, with whom she shares four children—Imaan, Khalifa, Sultan, and Sudais. Her new union, which included a viral wedding video and a N1 million bride price, has now ended in silence and sorrow.

She recounted how the man came into her life through an uncle after she secured a major contract in Lagos. Without a trusted representative, she reached out to him to help oversee the deal. His sudden marriage proposal seemed sincere—until things took a sharp turn.

“He said I could keep acting. We got married at night, and he left for Lagos the next morning,” Mansura recalled.

Shockingly, during the wedding, he presented a contract authorizing him to manage the N4 billion deal on her behalf—now claiming husband status. She said he quickly took full control of the project, cutting her out completely.

“I never saw him again. He stopped taking my calls. People in Lagos later told me he claimed he forgot he was even married. He only agreed to divorce me under pressure,” she said.

Despite the betrayal and heartbreak, Mansura Isa says she has come to terms with the experience, choosing peace over pain.
