Juma Jux Reveals How He Gently Guided Priscilla Ojo to Islam Before Their 2025 Wedding

July 14, 2025 – Tanzanian-Nigerian singer, Juma Jux, has opened up about the emotional and spiritual journey that led to his wife, Priscilla Ojo, converting to Islam before their lavish wedding earlier this year.
In an exclusive interview with Afrikmedia, Jux revealed that it was not easy convincing Priscilla—daughter of popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo—to embrace the Islamic faith. However, he said he received constant guidance and support from Islamic scholars and mentors throughout the process.
The “Enjoy” crooner explained that rather than pressuring her into conversion, he was encouraged to take a gentle and patient approach. He engaged Priscilla in open, thoughtful conversations about the principles and values of Islam, allowing her time to explore and understand the faith at her own pace.
“Convincing her was a little difficult,” Jux admitted. “But I received teachings from religious leaders who advised me to go slowly—teach her, guide her, and let her discover Islam through meaningful conversations. It took time, but eventually, she understood and embraced it.”
Jux also described their union as a dream come true, saying he had always envisioned a marriage grounded in shared spiritual values.
The couple officially tied the knot in a glamorous white wedding ceremony held in Lagos on April 19, 2025, attracting widespread media attention across Africa.
