Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed the emotional and physical trauma of experiencing six miscarriages, with the most recent loss occurring in February 2025.

In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram page, Judikay recounted how what began as mild discomfort quickly escalated into a devastating miscarriage after she had passed the three-month stage of pregnancy.

“In February 2025, I felt a pain that almost crushed me. I had been pregnant for over three months. One day, I started experiencing cramps,” she said. “I thought it was nothing serious, just mild discomfort. Then I noticed spotting, and later, what I thought was urine turned out to be blood. It didn’t stop. I understood immediately what it meant. This was my sixth loss.”

Judikay explained that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure following a diagnosis of a missed miscarriage.

Reflecting on the emotional aftermath, she admitted that she initially tried to stay strong in public, giving God the glory, but struggled privately with deep grief, especially at night. “When I returned home, I thought I was okay. I had cried and shouted during the procedure. But in the silence of the night, I would wail and cry, asking, ‘Jesus, where are you?’”

The singer, known for hits like “More Than Gold” and “Songs of Angel: Ndimozi Binigwe,” married Anselem Opara in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022.
