Jadon Sancho Set for £15m Juventus Move as Manchester United Exit Nears Completion

Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United appears to be coming to a definitive end, as reports indicate the English winger is closing in on a permanent transfer to Juventus in a deal worth £15 million.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, the 25-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants, including a four-year contract worth £5.2 million per season plus performance-based bonuses—a considerable pay cut from his current Manchester United wages.
Sancho, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea, impressed with five goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances, but negotiations over a permanent switch to Stamford Bridge broke down due to wage disagreements. Despite Chelsea’s interest, the two parties failed to reach a financial compromise, forcing Sancho’s representatives to explore other options.
Juventus Win Race for Sancho’s Signature
Sancho’s agent reportedly held talks with several clubs during the summer transfer window, but Juventus emerged as front-runners in recent weeks. United have now agreed to sell the winger for £15 million, slashing their initial £25 million valuation to facilitate the move.
Signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a hefty fee, Sancho made 83 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. However, his time at Old Trafford was marred by inconsistent performances and a falling out with former manager Erik ten Hag, which led to a loan return to Dortmund in the second half of the 2023–24 season.
While his brief resurgence at Chelsea showed glimpses of his talent, the Premier League club opted not to pursue a permanent deal, opening the door for Juventus to make their move.
Juventus Also Eyeing Rashford Amid United’s Squad Overhaul
In a broader context of Manchester United’s summer clear-out, Juventus have also expressed interest in Marcus Rashford, although a deal is seen as unlikely due to Rashford’s £300,000-a-week wages and United’s £40 million valuation. Barcelona are also monitoring Rashford’s situation, but no formal offer has been made.
In addition to Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony are also being linked with exits as United undergo a major attacking overhaul under new leadership.
The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and recently submitted a third bid worth £70 million for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. Manager Ruben Amorim is also targeting a top-class centre-forward, with Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson reportedly on the club’s radar.
If finalized, Sancho’s move to Juventus will mark a significant turning point in his career, offering him a fresh start in Serie A while closing a turbulent chapter at Manchester United.Published by SpringnewsNG Media Limited
