Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger accused of unruly conduct during a recent flight, has spoken out to share her side of the story.
In a detailed account posted on her verified Instagram handle, @soft_commy, Emmanson alleged that a female flight attendant, identified as Julian Edwards, assaulted her and damaged her personal belongings during the confrontation.
According to her, the incident began when she was instructed to switch off her phones. She explained that one of her devices had a faulty power button, which made it difficult to turn off. While a fellow passenger assisted in shutting down one of her phones, the situation escalated when the flight attendant allegedly tried to forcefully seize the device.
Emmanson claimed the crew member pulled off her wig, cut her gold jewellery, and damaged her mobile phones in the process. She further alleged that she was insulted and at one point prevented from leaving the aircraft.
“The incident has left me deeply traumatized,” she lamented, adding that the spread of her private images on social media has worsened her emotional distress.
Expressing gratitude to those who supported her during her ordeal, she said:
“I want to appreciate God Almighty and everyone that stood by me when I was in prison. The love I received when I came out was overwhelming. I never expected such support for a commoner like me. God bless you all.”
The controversy surrounding the Ibom Air incident continues to spark public debate, with calls for a thorough investigation to determine what transpired.
