“I Regret Giving My Lady a Car Because of Love” – Comedian Sabinus Opens Up

Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has shared a painful relationship experience, revealing how his former lover left him despite his expensive gestures of love.

Speaking in a recent livestream with TikToker Sandra Benede, Sabinus described love as “cruel” and empathised with TikTok star Peller, who has been struggling following his breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis.

He recounted how he once gifted a Range Rover to a lady he loved, only for her to leave him later. Reflecting on the experience, Sabinus said he regretted the decision and advised against harsh judgment of others going through heartbreak.

“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s shoes before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl a Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” he said.

Sabinus also recently confirmed that his own marriage to his wife and mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, ended in December 2025. The couple had married privately in 2023, with the union lasting just over a year.
