Gunmen Kill Two in Fresh Attack on Jos South Community

Tragedy struck Darong community in Gyero village, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, as armed men launched an attack on Monday night, leaving two people dead.

Reports indicate that the assailants invaded the area around 8:00 p.m. on October 21, shooting sporadically and sending residents into panic.

During the assault, Pam Choji and another yet-to-be-identified man were hit by bullets. A source disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer of ‘B’ Division, Bukuru, promptly led a team of officers to the scene and rushed the victims to the Plateau State Specialist Hospital.

Sadly, doctors on duty confirmed both victims dead on arrival.

Security personnel, including police and military operatives, have since been deployed to the community to maintain order and prevent a recurrence.

The Plateau State Police Command has also begun a manhunt for the gunmen and appealed to residents to share reliable information that could help track down those responsible for the deadly attack.
