Arsenal fans enjoyed a perfect weekend in the Premier League as their narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace not only strengthened their hold at the top of the table but also widened the gap following crucial slip-ups by their closest challengers.

Liverpool suffered another setback with a 3-2 defeat to Brentford, while Manchester City’s struggles at Villa Park continued with a 1-0 loss in the West Midlands. Chelsea also faltered at Stamford Bridge, suffering a surprising 2-1 defeat to Sunderland that further damages their title hopes.

Manchester United, on the other hand, showcased attacking flair in a thrilling 4-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion. Tottenham Hotspur reignited their challenge for the top positions by beating Everton 3-0, although they remain behind new second-place Bournemouth, who secured a strong 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

In the lower half, Burnley edged Wolves 3-2 in an entertaining clash, Newcastle United found a late winner to beat Fulham 2-1, and Leeds United continued West Ham United’s struggles with a 2-1 success of their own.

Based on performances across these fixtures, here is the Premier League Gameweek 9 Team of the Week selection.
