Fuel Prices Dip Slightly as Nigerian Filling Stations Adjust Pump Rates

Several fuel stations across Nigeria have begun lowering the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in response to fluctuations in global crude oil prices.
In Abuja and nearby areas, outlets such as Ranoil and Sharon Filling Station have reduced their petrol price to N1,280 per litre, down from N1,300. This reflects a drop of N20, representing about 1.54 percent.
Meanwhile, stations operated by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and MRS Filling Station are currently selling petrol at N1,261 per litre, slightly cheaper than the revised rates by other marketers.
However, not all retailers have adjusted their prices downward. Outlets like AA Rano and Empire Energy continue to sell fuel within the N1,300 to N1,330 per litre range.
At the supply level, Dangote Refinery maintains its ex-depot (gantry) price at N1,175 per litre. Other depot operators, including Pinnacle Oil and Gas, Parker Energy, and Zamson Oil, are pricing their products between N1,192 and N1,200 per litre.
The marginal reduction in pump prices comes as global oil benchmarks, particularly Brent crude, recently climbed as high as $114 per barrel before easing to around $107 per barrel.
