Five African countries have officially booked their tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Ghana becoming the most recent team to join the list.
The Black Stars sealed qualification after a 1-0 victory over Comoros in their final Group I fixture, thanks to a decisive second-half goal from Tottenham Hotspur star Mohammed Kudus.
Under coach Otto Addo, Ghana topped their group ahead of Madagascar and Mali, confirming their fifth appearance at the global tournament, having previously featured in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022.
They join Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria as the African nations that have so far secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
