Fire Destroys Multi-Million Naira Properties in Residential Building in Ibadan

A fire has destroyed properties worth millions of naira in a residential building in Ibadan, causing significant losses for residents.

The blaze occurred on Thursday afternoon at No 1, Road 10, Adepoju Area, affecting one of the flats in the building. Eyewitnesses reported that the inferno consumed valuable household items and belongings, resulting in heavy financial losses.

The Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident and stated that the fire was successfully contained with assistance from the Federal Fire Service.

In a statement, Akinwande said:
“Upon arrival, our officers quickly swung into action and prevented the fire from spreading to the second flat. The Federal Fire Service, Ibadan Command, later joined our team, and the fire was collectively extinguished.”

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, while residents are counting losses and seeking support.
