#FearlessInOctober Protests: Take-It-Back Movement Announces Convergence Points and Times Across Nigerian States

The nationwide #FearlessInOctober protests are set to commence on October 1, 2024, aiming to spotlight the pressing issues of hunger and economic hardship faced by Nigerians. Organized by the Take-It-Back Movement, the demonstrations seek to draw the attention of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to the negative impact of its policies on the populace.
In a tweet shared on its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, the Take-It-Back Movement announced the specific times and convergence points for protesters across multiple states. The organizers emphasize that the protests will continue until their demands are met.
In Lagos State, protesters are instructed to gather at Ikeja Under Bridge at 7:30 am. For Rivers State, the protest will begin at Pleasure Park, Port Harcourt, with participants asked to converge by 7:30 am.
Borno State will see protesters assemble at the Arewa Youth for Peace Office on Damaturu Road, with a starting time of 8:00 am. In Yobe State, participants are directed to gather at Damaturu Main Roundabout, opposite the Old Motor Park to Maiduguri Road, at 8:00 am.
Kwara State’s designated location is Ilorin Post Office Under-Bridge, where protesters are expected to converge by 8:00 am.
The #FearlessInOctober protests are aimed at mobilizing citizens to demand better governance, holding leaders accountable, and pushing for urgent action to alleviate widespread economic challenges. The movement has called on all Nigerians to unite in pursuit of a more responsive and accountable government.
The protest organizers are hopeful that these nationwide demonstrations will not only shed light on the severe economic conditions but also pressure the government into making necessary changes for the welfare of the people.
