Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed a major injury concern for winger Savinho following their 0-0 draw with Sunderland on New Year’s Day in the Premier League.

The stalemate leaves City four points behind league leaders Arsenal, who secured victory over Aston Villa. Sunderland’s disciplined defense earned them a valuable point, as City failed to capitalize on several scoring opportunities.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola said, “We had plenty of chances in the six-yard box, not easy ones, but we couldn’t convert them. The team played well in the second half, creating opportunities through Savinho, Jeremy Doku, Josko Gvardiol, Phil Foden, and Erling Haaland. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it happen.

“Savinho had to be substituted early in the second half at the Stadium of Light, and it doesn’t look good for him.”
