Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is on the verge of making Premier League history as the Nigerian with the highest number of appearances in the English top flight.
Iwobi is expected to surpass the existing record when Fulham host his former club, Arsenal, at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Fulham star has currently made 298 Premier League appearances, a tally he shares with former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi.
If Iwobi features in the clash against the Gunners, he will move clear at the top of Nigeria’s all-time Premier League appearance chart.
Since making his Premier League debut for Arsenal against Swansea City on October 27, 2015, Iwobi has played for Arsenal, Everton, and now Fulham, showcasing consistency and longevity at the highest level of English football.
