EFCC Arrests 15 Suspects Over Illegal Radioactive Mineral Transport

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained 15 men for their alleged involvement in the illegal transport of radioactive solid minerals.
The arrests were made on Sunday, March 8, 2026, by operatives from the EFCC’s Kaduna Zonal Directorate along the Suleja-Maji Road in Niger State.
According to an EFCC statement, the suspects were intercepted while moving the suspected radioactive minerals in three trucks to multiple destinations across Nigeria for undisclosed purposes.
Investigations into the case are ongoing at the Kaduna Zonal Directorate.
“The suspects are currently in custody undergoing further investigations and will soon be arraigned in court,” the commission added.
