Edo State Residents Join #WeAreHungry Protest Over Hardship Created By Tinubu Government

Residents of Edo State on Wednesday morning joined the nationwide protests, tagged as #WeAreHungry protest, over current economic hardship created by the President Bola Tinubu’s government

This was seen in a series of tweets shared by resident on X which showed the protesters shouting “another challenge, another challenge” while carrying several placards to express their displeasure on the current economic challenges the masses are facing.

One of the residents said, “In Edo State right now people are marching to say #WeAreHungry. The #June12Protest is a demonstration of hardship brought upon Nigerians by @officialABAT regime. @PoliceNG & @OfficialDSSNG must release @AyowoleSanyaolu unconditionally in good health now

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that Nigerians including youths in their large numbers stormed major roads in Lagos State to protest the current economic hardship created by the President Bola Tinubu’s government.

In several pictures and videos seen on X, SaharaReporters observed that the demonstrators carried different placards calling for immediate reversal of some policies implemented by Tinubu.

One of the protesters and a social activist, Francis Nwapa wrote: “We called for it and we are on the street in Ikeja under bridge. The tyrannical and oppressive government of @officialABAT must be shown the way out. We are hungry and angry.

#WeAreHungryProtest #June12Protest.”

SaharaReporters reports that the protests were scheduled nationwide for the citizens to express their displeasure over the current state of nation.

The Department of State Services (DSS) had earlier warned Nigerians against the protests
