The Department of State Services (DSS) has detained 34-year-old Innocent Chukwuma after he allegedly used his social media account to advocate for a military takeover in Nigeria.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama posted the development on his verified X account on Wednesday, saying security agents tracked the suspect to Oyigbo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he was arrested.

Chukwuma, who reportedly posts under the handle @TheAgroman, is said to have published messages urging the military to remove the ruling party, suspend the government and lead a “reset” of the country. In one post he called for public backing of the armed forces as a means to “save” the nation.

A source familiar with the matter told Makama that Chukwuma is cooperating with DSS investigators as inquiries continue. The DSS has not issued an official statement at the time of this report.
