U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that American military forces will remain stationed in and around Iran until Tehran fully honors what he described as a “final and binding agreement,” cautioning that any breach could provoke an overwhelming military reaction.

In a late-night message shared on Truth Social, Trump emphasized that all U.S. naval, air, and ground forces will stay on high alert in the region until full compliance is achieved.

He warned that failure by Iran to uphold the agreement would result in a response “far greater and more powerful than anything witnessed before,” signaling Washington’s readiness to escalate if necessary.

Trump also reiterated key conditions of the understanding, including Iran’s commitment to halt nuclear weapons development and ensure that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for global shipping.

While stressing military preparedness, the U.S. leader stated that American forces are regrouping and ready for future operations, describing the country as prepared for its “next mission.”

His remarks followed a recently brokered two-week ceasefire between Washington and Tehran, facilitated by Pakistan, which brought a temporary halt to weeks of hostilities and boosted market confidence over the potential resumption of oil flows through the critical maritime route.

Iranian authorities, however, indicated that access through the Strait of Hormuz would depend on coordination with their military, underscoring lingering tensions despite the truce.
