DJ Cuppy Describes Marriage as a Sacred Covenant with God

Nigerian DJ and billionaire’s daughter, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared her thoughts on marriage, calling it one of the most powerful and meaningful bonds in life.
Posting on her X handle on Thursday, Cuppy described marriage not just as a partnership but as a divine contract witnessed by God.
“Call me old-fashioned, but I believe marriage is the most powerful partnership in life. Perhaps even the most important agreement anyone can make, with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
She explained that her younger sister Temi Otedola’s marriage to Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has further strengthened her belief in the institution of marriage.
“Seeing my baby sister Temi become Mrs Ajibade reminds me that marriage is not outdated. With the right partner, it draws you closer to purpose and helps you build love, family, and legacy,” Cuppy added.
Temi and Mr Eazi tied the knot through three wedding ceremonies across different countries.
- Their journey began with a celebration in Monaco on May 9, 2025, chosen in honor of Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday.
- This was followed by a traditional Yoruba ceremony held at the Otedola residence in Dubai.
- The couple later sealed their vows in August 2025 with a private white wedding in Iceland.
