Nigerian music superstar Davido has spoken out against the recent wave of violence in Nigeria, responding to both the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the deadly church attack in Kwara State.

The tragic incidents unfolded within 24 hours of each other. On Monday, November 17, 2025, 25 secondary schoolgirls were kidnapped in Kebbi State. The following evening, three people were killed during a service at a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State, with several members, including the pastor, abducted.

In a statement shared on X on Wednesday evening, Davido said, “No family deserves this pain.”

He added, “These acts of violence must never become our norm. My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope.

“I am also deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. Everything must be done to bring the girls home safely. I urge anyone with credible information to come forward safely to support the ongoing rescue efforts.

“May God comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and expose every sponsor of violence and disorder.”
