Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is tying the knot with his wife, Chioma Rowland, in a lavish white wedding today, Sunday, August 10, 2025, at The Havana in Miami, United States.
The glamorous celebration, reportedly costing $3.7 million, follows an intimate pre-wedding dinner attended by close family and friends. Videos from the Friday night event showed Davido in a multicoloured outfit and Chioma in a radiant white gown, sharing affectionate moments. Notable personalities such as music stars Adekunle Gold and Teni, alongside popular blogger Tunde Ednut, graced the occasion.
However, the wedding’s guest list was notably incomplete due to visa-related setbacks. One absence that drew public attention was that of Davido’s close friend and associate, Cubana Chief Priest. Taking to Instagram, he revealed that visa challenges prevented him from attending, though his wife represented him at the event.
In an emotional post, he wrote:
“Woke up this morning with mixed feelings. I’m happy and still sad at the same time… I’m wishing my best friend Davido and his beautiful wife Chioma an amazing wedlock. The largest part of me, my wife, is there to share in this luxurious, blissful experience, so I’m there in body and spirit.”
Reports also allege that Chioma’s parents could not attend the wedding due to similar visa complications. According to journalist Stella Dimokokorkus, their five-year visas were revoked after overstaying during a previous visit to the US, when Chioma’s mother had extended her stay to care for her postpartum and anemia recovery.
Despite these absences, the event remains one of the biggest celebrity weddings of 2025. Fans are watching closely as the high-profile union unfolds, with Davido even revealing a fresh “Chioma” tattoo on his lower abdomen during a pre-wedding photoshoot.
