Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed that he was denied a United States visa, preventing him from attending the highly anticipated wedding of Afrobeats superstar Davido and his wife Chioma Rowland in Miami.
In an emotional post on his Instagram page, the nightlife mogul expressed his disappointment over missing the event, which has drawn celebrities and dignitaries from around the world. The wedding ceremony is taking place this weekend in Miami, USA.
Cubana Chief Priest described waking up with “mixed feelings” on the morning of the wedding, explaining that although he could not be there physically, he remained supportive in spirit. He also appealed to the US Embassy in Nigeria (@usinnigeria) for assistance in securing a visa in the future.
“I appreciate the bashing because that has given me multiple reasons and proof to apply again @usinnigeria. Do it for me this time. You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding,” he wrote.
Despite his absence, Cubana Chief Priest extended heartfelt congratulations to the couple:
“I’m wishing my best friend @davido and his beautiful wife @thechefchi an amazing wedlock.”
The wedding, reportedly costing millions of dollars, is one of the most talked-about celebrity events of 2025, with several Nigerian and international stars in attendance—although visa issues have kept a few high-profile guests away.
