Cristiano Ronaldo set to split from agent Jorge Mendes?

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to cut his ties with agent Jorge Mendes following his move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo recently signed for Al-Nassr after being without a club since Manchester United terminated his contract in November following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
During a press conference to unveil him as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday, Ronaldo claimed that he had received offers from Europe, Brazil, Australia, USA and Portugal, but he had given his word to the Saudi Arabian club.
Although Ronaldo has signed a lucrative deal, according to The Mirror he is set to split from his long-time agent of 20 years.
Mendes was supposedly not involved in the move following a breakdown in their working relationship over the past year.
Ricardo Regufe, who has previously been part of Ronaldo’s entourage, was believed to be the individual that played a significant role in the deal with Al-Nassr, and he is set to receive £26m as a result.
While Ronaldo is expected to split from Mendes’ Gestifute agency, the Portugal international could make his debut for his new club when they face Al-Tai on Thursday.
