Chelsea Football Club have reportedly opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential transfer for French forward Randal Kolo Muani, amid growing uncertainty surrounding Nicolas Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues recently bolstered their attacking line-up with the signing of Liam Delap, who joins Marc Guiu and Jackson as striking options for new head coach Enzo Maresca. However, squad dynamics could soon shift, with Guiu being linked to a possible loan move for the 2025/26 season and Jackson under increasing scrutiny following a string of disciplinary issues.
Jackson, 23, has received red cards in two of his last four appearances—once in Chelsea’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle United in May, and most recently just four minutes after coming off the bench in a 3-1 Club World Cup loss to Flamengo. While the Senegal international has publicly apologized for his latest sending-off, the club is reportedly reconsidering his role in the squad.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, Chelsea have initiated discussions with PSG to explore the availability of Kolo Muani. The 26-year-old, who was loaned to Juventus during the latter half of last season, impressed with 10 goals in 20 matches and continues to feature in the Club World Cup for the Italian giants.
PSG originally signed Kolo Muani for £77 million in September 2023, and while Chelsea are not expected to match that valuation, they are believed to be willing to make a significant offer to secure his services. The French international’s versatility and proven goal-scoring record make him an attractive option for the West London club as they look to refresh their attacking options.
Meanwhile, Jackson could attract interest from Serie A, with journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that both Juventus and Napoli are monitoring the situation. Despite tallying 30 goals and 12 assists in 80 appearances since arriving from Villarreal for £32 million, Jackson’s recent form and temperament have led to doubts about his long-term role at Chelsea.
With fans growing frustrated and management assessing alternatives, Chelsea may be open to offloading Jackson if they can recoup a significant portion of their investment. For Enzo Maresca, the situation could present a clearer path to integrating Liam Delap as a regular starter.
As the summer transfer window heats up, Chelsea appear to be positioning themselves for a major shake-up in attack—with Randal Kolo Muani emerging as a top target
