Charly Boy Reveals Surprise Visit From Peter Obi With ‘Ghana Must Go’ Bag of Fruits

In a post on his official X handle, Charly Boy narrated how Obi phoned him around 1 a.m. to inform him of an early-morning courtesy visit scheduled for 5 a.m.
Despite his busy routine, the singer welcomed the idea. On arrival, Obi showed up carrying a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag, which at first left Charly Boy wondering what could possibly be inside.
The two reportedly sat together for nearly two hours, discussing topics ranging from Nigeria’s political climate to family matters.
Charly Boy later disclosed that when Obi handed him the bag as a gift, he assumed it was something big—only to burst out laughing after discovering its contents.
Inside the bag were fruits and local items personally selected by Obi, including roasted groundnuts, kolanuts, pawpaw, oranges, bananas, mangoes, agara, and alligator pepper.
“I called him to thank him, and he said, ‘Senior, I no fit give you money, but I fit give you this one, na my hand pick,’” Charly Boy recounted.
“Which kind of native intelligence pass this one?”
Charly Boy, a vocal supporter of Obi and member of the Obidient movement, had openly campaigned for him during the 2023 presidential election.
