Bayern Munich sit at the top of the UEFA Champions League standings after Matchday 2, following back-to-back victories in their opening group stage fixtures.

The Bundesliga giants began their campaign with a 3-1 win over Chelsea before cruising past Pafos 5-1 on Tuesday night to secure maximum points.

Also on six points are European heavyweights Real Madrid, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Arsenal, and Qarabag, all of whom have made strong starts to the competition.

Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City complete the current top eight positions on the table.

Meanwhile, Spanish giants Barcelona occupy 16th place, with Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea trailing further down in 17th and 18th spots, respectively.

At the bottom of the standings are Athletic Bilbao, Ajax, and Kairat Almaty, who have struggled to pick up points in their opening matches.

The competition continues with Matchday 3, where teams will be looking to strengthen their positions in the group stage battle for qualification.
