Champions League: Luis Enrique Explains How PSG Beat Barcelona 2-1 in Spain

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has revealed why his side secured a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
Barcelona had taken the lead through Ferran Torres, but PSG responded before halftime when Senny Mayulu struck to level the score. With the game heading for a draw at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Goncalo Ramos netted late to seal a crucial win for the French champions.
Speaking after the match, Enrique said PSG’s dominance in the second half was the key to their triumph over Hansi Flick’s men.
“It was an excellent match,” Enrique told Spanish outlet Movistar Plus. “Both teams played clean football, trying to win by attacking, and it made the game very complete.
“They [Barcelona] were superior until their goal, but we reacted well. Nuno produced an incredible play, and in the second half, I think we were the better team. We deserved the victory.”
The Spanish coach admitted that the opening stages were difficult for PSG, highlighting Barcelona’s quality in possession, but stressed that his side showed resilience and composure to turn the match around.
With the result, PSG strengthened their position in the group while Barcelona were left ruing missed chances in front of their home fans.
