STORY: WRITTEN BY DANIEL NOVEMBER 6,2025
Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman, had a tense confrontation with Atalanta manager Ivan Juric during their 1–0 Champions League victory over Marseille on Wednesday.
The only goal of the game came from Lazar Samardzic, earning the Serie A side a vital win.
However, the major talking point occurred in the 75th minute when Lookman was substituted. The winger appeared visibly upset as he walked off, exchanging heated words with Juric on the touchline.
The manager reacted by grabbing Lookman in anger, prompting CEO Luca Percassi and midfielder Marten de Roon to step in and separate them.
At the time of the substitution, the match was still goalless, adding to the visible frustration.
Following the final whistle, Juric approached Lookman and the pair were seen speaking again. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, it remains unclear whether their post-match conversation was an attempt to reconcile or a continuation of the dispute.
