The Grammy-winning rapper, who recently went viral after announcing her pregnancy with NFL player Stefon Diggs amid her ongoing divorce proceedings with rapper Offset, said her outspoken nature often makes her a target for media attention and public scrutiny.
Speaking in an interview with CBS, Cardi B explained that her personality plays a big role in why controversies seem to follow her everywhere.
“I didn’t think I was that much drama. Back in high school, I was even voted ‘most dramatic’ in the yearbook, and it surprised me,” she said.
“I don’t like drama—it actually stresses me. But when you have a big personality like mine, or when you speak your mind the way I do, people find it easier to target you. That’s why drama follows me.”
Cardi B admitted that while her bold aura and outspoken character contribute to the drama, she has no desire to constantly live in controversy, stressing that she often feels misunderstood.
