Burna Boy sets new African record on U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has set a new record as the first African to debut two songs on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart in a single calendar year.

He achieved the feat after his song ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ finally debuted at No. 80 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart after spending weeks on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.

The song broke into the main chart following the release of Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them,’ which boosted the sales and streams of the lead track, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World,’ in the U.S.A

We recalls that Burna Boy’s ‘Talibans II’ with Byron Messia debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July this year.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them,’ debuted at N0. 31 on the U.S Billboard 200 albums chart
