Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his ongoing spiritual struggles, revealing that his conversion from Christianity to Islam has not yet brought him the fulfillment he seeks.
Speaking in a recent chat with streamer Playboymax, Burna Boy said he has explored multiple religions in his quest for understanding, but the deeper he studies, the more uncertain he becomes about finding absolute truth.
“Growing up, I was a Christian, and later, I converted to Islam,” Burna Boy explained. “It feels like I’ve studied everything, but I’m still searching for what’s real. The more I read and research, the more confused I get.”
The Afro-fusion star added that his spiritual journey is ongoing as he continues to seek personal clarity and truth beyond religious doctrines.
Similarly, Nigerian singer 9ice recently opened up about his own spiritual awakening, revealing that he embraced the Ifa traditional religion after a severe spiritual attack left him bedridden for months. According to him, he now wishes he had started his spiritual path earlier in life.
